Lucky simply

Did you ever feel that you were simply lucky? When I was growing up people used to say to me all the time......."If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all" and then my silly little grin would turn into a self searching, self-doubting mode of why instead of being truly happy with what God had in mind for me. Through time I have realized that it was all part of who He wanted me to be and what he would need me to do. I'm comfortable being outside that box that many do not dare to step out of. Now and again I resort back to the rush trying to be something I am not. Sometimes being on a plan isn't necessarily God's plan.
Now I feel like I'm "LUCKY SIMPLY". We are not in tough economic times, not struggling to make it, but more accurately LUCKY to have the opportunity God wants us to have to live SIMPLY. Living simply means more time for Him, more time for family, and more time to love. Hope you all had a happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Girl Scout Friendship Day

Girl Scout Island day was really interesting. Every little troop had interesting tidbits on their islands around the world. They had little samples of food, Dances, songs, activities, and games. The girls had so much fun and I haven't seen so many laughing girls giggling like that in quite a while. Feeling like a quiet observer I enjoyed these memorable moments with the girls.
Then a thought hit me. It made me wonder.....how many of these islands were filled with love and laughter of little children just playing? How many know that they are gifts from God that will have the potential to be great? Probably not as many as there are here...I remember my dad's stories and I was reminded just how fortunate we are in this country to have that be the case more often than not. If you have a second or two google child labor in Madagascar. When things seem crazy, and it all feels so out of control, really, is it all that bad?

A day at the Rapid Pavillion

We finally got down to the pavillion :) Thanks guys! I would have not gotten this wonderful fun in without friends asking us to come along! So here are a couple of pictures that we had taken while we were making sure that the kids didn't go head first into the waterfall..They are so precious! They all wanted to throw rocks in the river and pick up worms!! It was loads of FUN to see them explore!

Our little wonderfuls!

Here it is guys! We got a blog yo! We are going to try to keep up with it so the fam can see how the kids have turned into mature small people so quickly Grandpapa thought the other day that Owen was turning just two.... the time flies so fast. I want to remember the small things and our journal writing has been less than the best and not a very effective tool in passing on info on our day to day lives.
